Welcome to Polariz.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website polariz.in, including the Polariz career intelligence platform and any related features, services, reports, tools or functionality made available through it (collectively, the "Service").

Polariz is operated by Polariz Incorporation Pvt Ltd, having its registered office at Pune ("Polariz", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing the Service, uploading a resume, generating a report, or otherwise using Polariz, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. About Polariz

Polariz is an AI-powered Career Intelligence Platform intended to help individuals better understand their professional profile and explore potential career directions.

Depending on the features available at the time you use the Service, Polariz may:

analyse an uploaded resume or curriculum vitae;
determine whether the uploaded document appears to be a professional resume;
extract professional information from the resume;
generate a career or professional summary;
identify skills, tools, methodologies and technologies;
analyse professional strengths and skill categories;
infer professional attributes such as career stage, seniority, function or domain;
generate possible future career paths;
identify skills that may be useful for particular career paths;
provide indicative salary information;
recommend educational courses, learning resources or professional-development material; and
provide other career-related information or insights.

Polariz is a career intelligence and informational service. It is not an employment agency, recruitment agency, job portal, university, financial adviser, legal adviser or professional career counsellor.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Polariz.

By using the Service, you represent that:

you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement;
the information and documents you provide belong to you or you have lawful authority to provide them; and
your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law or contractual obligation.

Polariz is not currently intended for persons under 18 years of age.

3. Your Resume and Information

You may provide Polariz with a resume or other information necessary for us to generate career intelligence.

You remain the owner of your resume and the personal information contained in it.

By uploading a resume, you grant Polariz a limited, non-exclusive right to process, analyse, transmit, temporarily or persistently store, transform and otherwise use the document and information contained within it only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy.

You represent that:

the resume is yours or you are authorised to upload it;
you will not knowingly upload another person's personal information without appropriate authority;
the document does not contain unlawful material; and
you will not upload malicious software, intentionally corrupted files or documents intended to interfere with the Service.

4. AI and Automated Processing

Polariz uses artificial intelligence, software algorithms, predefined career taxonomies, reference databases and deterministic business rules to generate parts of the Service.

Your resume information may therefore be processed using automated systems operated by Polariz and third-party technology providers acting on our behalf.

AI systems are probabilistic.

This means that although we design Polariz to provide useful and evidence-based outputs, the Service may:

misunderstand information in a resume;
omit relevant information;
incorrectly categorise a skill or professional attribute;
generate an inaccurate inference;
provide an unsuitable career suggestion;
produce inaccurate salary estimates;
generate incomplete results; or
produce different results when analysing similar information.

You should independently evaluate important career decisions.

5. Career Recommendations Are Not Guarantees

Career paths generated by Polariz are recommendations based primarily on the professional information available to the Service.

They are not guarantees that:

you are qualified for a particular role;
an employer will consider you suitable for that role;
you will obtain an interview;
you will receive a job offer;
you will receive a promotion;
a career transition will be successful;
a particular job will exist or remain in demand;
a particular salary will be available; or
you will achieve any particular financial or professional outcome.

Career decisions involve many factors that cannot be determined from a resume alone.

You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to act on any recommendation generated by Polariz.

6. Salary Information

Polariz may display estimated compensation or salary ranges for certain career paths.

Salary information is indicative only.

Actual compensation may differ significantly depending on factors including:

employer;
industry;
city or country;
company stage;
skills;
professional experience;
educational background;
performance;
negotiation;
market conditions;
employment type; and
economic conditions.

Salary estimates are not promises, offers of employment or financial advice.

7. Learning Recommendations

Polariz may recommend courses, certifications, training programmes, educational content or other learning resources offered by third parties.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Polariz does not own, operate or control these third-party resources.

Course availability, curriculum, duration, pricing, certification, instructors and other information may change without notice.

Although Polariz may attempt to maintain accurate information, you should verify material details directly with the relevant provider before purchasing or enrolling.

A recommendation does not constitute a guarantee regarding the quality, suitability, accreditation or outcome of a particular course.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on or interact with third-party infrastructure and technology providers, including providers of:

cloud hosting;
database services;
file storage;
artificial intelligence;
analytics;
authentication;
security services; and
learning resources.

Your use of third-party websites or services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Polariz is not responsible for the availability, content, security, accuracy or practices of independent third-party websites or services.

9. Acceptable Use

You may use Polariz only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

upload a resume belonging to another person without lawful authority;
impersonate another person;
submit false or intentionally misleading information;
upload malware or harmful code;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to Polariz systems;
interfere with or disrupt the Service;
probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without permission;
circumvent security, rate limits or access controls;
scrape or systematically extract data from Polariz without written permission;
reverse engineer the Service except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
attempt to extract proprietary prompts, system instructions, models, taxonomies or internal algorithms;
use automated means to overload the Service;
resell or commercially reproduce the Service without authorisation;
use Polariz to facilitate discrimination, fraud or unlawful employment practices; or
use Polariz to evaluate another individual for employment without appropriate authority and compliance with applicable law.

We may restrict or discontinue access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

10. Intellectual Property

The Polariz platform, including its:

software;
interface;
visual design;
branding;
logos;
career frameworks;
taxonomies;
databases;
scoring methodologies;
algorithms;
documentation;
original content; and
underlying technology

is owned by or licensed to Polariz and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no intellectual-property rights are transferred to you.

Polariz and related branding may not be copied or used without permission.

11. Your Generated Report

Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use the career report and recommendations generated specifically for you for your own personal and professional purposes.

For example, you may:

review your career analysis;
use insights to plan professional development;
discuss recommendations with a mentor or career adviser; or
use identified skills or career paths as input to your own career planning.

You may not reproduce the Polariz platform, datasets, proprietary taxonomies or underlying technology merely because portions of them appear in a generated report.

12. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, comments or feedback regarding Polariz, you permit us to use that feedback to develop and improve the Service without an obligation to compensate you.

This does not transfer ownership of your personal information or resume to Polariz.

13. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Our collection and processing of personal information is governed separately by the Polariz Privacy Policy, available at:

The Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.

Where applicable, Polariz will process personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and related rules have a phased commencement schedule, and Polariz intends to update its practices where necessary as relevant requirements become applicable.

14. Security

Polariz uses reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect the Service and information processed through it.

However, no internet-based system, cloud-storage system or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You acknowledge that use of an online service involves inherent security risks.

If you believe that your information or the Service may have been compromised, please contact us promptly at legal@thepolariz.in.

15. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of:

maintenance;
software updates;
infrastructure failures;
third-party service outages;
AI-provider outages;
network failures;
security incidents; or
circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may change, suspend or discontinue individual features where reasonably necessary.

16. Beta and Experimental Features

Polariz is an evolving technology product.

Some functionality may be designated or reasonably understood to be beta, preview, experimental or under development.

Such functionality may change, fail, provide incomplete results or be discontinued.

We may use feedback and operational information to improve these features.

17. Fees and Paid Services

Some or all features of Polariz may currently be offered without charge.

Polariz may introduce paid features, subscriptions or other commercial services in the future.

You will not be charged merely because these Terms allow future paid services.

Where payment is required, the relevant pricing, billing frequency and applicable conditions will be disclosed before you complete the purchase.

Additional payment or subscription terms may apply.

18. No Professional Advice

Information generated by Polariz is provided for informational and career-planning purposes.

It is not intended to constitute:

legal advice;
financial or investment advice;
employment-law advice;
immigration advice;
recruitment advice from an employer;
psychological advice; or
any other regulated professional advice.

Where appropriate, you should seek advice from a suitably qualified professional.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Polariz does not warrant that:

the Service will always be available;
every report will be accurate;
AI-generated information will be error-free;
recommendations will be appropriate for every individual;
third-party information will remain current; or
use of the Service will produce a particular career outcome.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Polariz and its directors, employees, contractors and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from or relating to use of the Service, including loss of opportunity, income, employment or anticipated career advancement.

In particular, Polariz is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of an AI-generated recommendation.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, Polariz's aggregate liability arising from the Service will, to the extent permitted by law, be limited to the greater of:

the amount you paid to Polariz for the relevant Service during the preceding twelve months.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by law, including applicable statutory consumer rights.

21. Indemnity for Unlawful Misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims arising directly from your intentional unlawful misuse of the Service, infringement of another person's rights, or knowing violation of these Terms.

This provision does not require you to indemnify Polariz for matters caused by Polariz's own unlawful conduct.

22. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or restrict your access to the Service where reasonably necessary because of:

violation of these Terms;
fraudulent activity;
security threats;
abuse of the Service;
legal requirements; or
risks to Polariz, other users or third parties.

You may stop using Polariz at any time.

Rights relating to deletion of personal information are addressed in our Privacy Policy.

23. Changes to the Service

Polariz will continue to evolve.

We may add, modify or remove functionality, including career models, recommendation systems, datasets, learning resources, interfaces or AI providers.

We will seek to avoid changes that materially and unfairly affect rights already acquired by users.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:

product changes;
legal or regulatory requirements;
new functionality;
security requirements; or
changes in our business.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.

Your continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.

25. Electronic Communications

By using Polariz, you agree that communications relating to the Service may be provided electronically, including through the website or email where available.

Indian law recognises contracts formed using electronic means and does not treat them as unenforceable merely because electronic records were used.

26. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory rights available to you under applicable Indian law.

27. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

If a dispute arises, you and Polariz agree first to attempt to resolve it in good faith by contacting the other party and allowing a reasonable opportunity for resolution.

If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the courts located in:

Pune, Maharashtra, India

will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction or consumer rights provided under applicable law.

28. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

29. No Waiver

Failure by Polariz to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other rights.

30. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for specific paid or specialised services, constitute the agreement between you and Polariz concerning use of the Service.
